Through the process of voice remapping, you’ll allow yourself to experience your emotions in a different way so that you can process and release your memories and pain effectively.
Voice remapping is for experiencing your emotions, it enables you to process through your memories and pain. During your session, do whatever you can to be aware of what your body is telling you, and be willing to “experience” rather than “think.”
During your voice remapping session, it is expected that you will process emotions. This may look like weeping, crying, anger, joy and happiness or nothing at all. Your facilitator will not interfere with your process (and won’t even be in the room with you). Change can be painful, allow yourself to experience it and think of pain as weakness leaving the body.
This is not a process that places blame. Voice remapping is not about criticism, blaming, accusing, or judging. It is about honouring and acknowledging your feelings, it is about being truthful about how you feel, and connecting your head to your heart.
The Vo-Cal II voice mapping system is the most advanced technology available for voice remapping. When you come in for your voice remapping session, you’ll simply answer a few simple questions into a microphone to produce a voice print. Then, you’ll sit in a special chair that has speakers at the back and underneath, and you’ll wear LCD light glasses and headphones. You’ll have your eyes closed because the glasses will produce flashes of light, and you’ll listen to music through the headphones.
Many people find these sessions to be quite enjoyable and they consider it “their time” to relax and get into a meditative state. The combination of the flashing lights and the music brings you to a state that is difficult to achieve otherwise, and it has powerful results.
All that is asked of you is to be open to what you feel. To benefit from this technology, you must be an active participant in your own healing. If you are “cut off” from your emotions due to trauma, beliefs, habit, etc, this may be difficult for you. You’ll make progress faster if you allow yourself to FEEL, however if you are emotionally disconnected, the process will still benefit you over time. No matter what, your body will do what is required for your healing.
